Unrestricted SupportYour contribution to one of the annual giving categories will enable JYPI to broaden its programmatic offerings and increase the number of teens served. Each gift will be appropriately recognized and acknowledged.
Designated Giving OpportunitiesIn addition to unrestricted gifts, donors may designate their annual gifts for a particular program or project, and/or in honor or memory of an individual or family. 8th and 9th Grade Program & 10th – 12th Grade Program This program presents a year-long curriculum of educational seminars focusing on philanthropy, as well as site visits to prospective grantee organizations. Service Learning Program Engages teens in volunteer activities to support the efforts of nonprofit agencies and organizations. Twice a month teens from around the region participate in diverse activities that promote tikkun olam while learning about mitzvot related to caring for others and repairing the world. Examples of Service Learning projects include cleaning the apartments of the elderly in D.C., collaborating on art projects with adults and children with special needs, and restoring a historically significant stop on the Underground Railroad. Synagogue Education Program JYPI alumni teach the values of tzedakah and tikkun olam in area synagogues and youth groups through interactive, hands-on workshops. Naming OpportunitiesA multitude of programs and projects are available to be named in honor or memory of a loved one, or to recognize the support of a particular family. Please contact JYPI for more information. For more information on giving to JYPI, please contact Development Coordinator Judy Levy at (301) 348-7325 or judy@jypi.org. |
