This program presents a year-long curriculum of educational seminars focusing on philanthropy, as well as site visits to prospective grantee organizations.

Service Learning Program

Engages teens in volunteer activities to support the efforts of nonprofit agencies and organizations.  Twice a month teens from around the region participate in diverse activities that promote tikkun olam while learning about mitzvot related to caring for others and repairing the world.  Examples of Service Learning projects include cleaning the apartments of the elderly in D.C., collaborating on art projects with adults and children with special needs, and restoring a historically significant stop on the Underground Railroad.

Synagogue Education Program

JYPI alumni teach the values of tzedakah and tikkun olam in area synagogues and youth groups through interactive, hands-on workshops.

Naming Opportunities

A multitude of programs and projects are available to be named in honor or memory of a loved one, or to recognize the support of a particular family.
